My DJI drone camera shows calibration errors and the camera does not align properly with the horizon. Because of this the video looks tilted during flight. What steps should be taken to calibrate the camera and fix the calibration problem?

If your DJI drone camera shows calibration errors and the horizon looks tilted, you can try the following steps to fix the problem:

  1. Gimbal Calibration:
Open the DJI Fly / DJI GO app → Go to SettingsControlGimbal Calibration → Select Auto Calibrate. Make sure the drone is placed on a completely flat surface during calibration.

  2. IMU Calibration:
If the issue continues, perform an IMU calibration from the settings menu. This helps the drone sensors correctly detect orientation.

  3. Check for Physical Obstructions:
Make sure the gimbal is not blocked by any debris, transport lock, or damaged parts.

  4. Restart the Drone:
Power off the drone and remote controller, then restart them.

  5. Update Firmware:
Check in the DJI app for the latest firmware updates for both the drone and controller.

  6. Manual Gimbal Adjustment:
In the camera settings, use the Gimbal Roll Adjustment to fine-tune the horizon if it is slightly tilted.

If the problem still persists after calibration, it may indicate a hardware issue, and contacting DJI support or an authorized service center would be recommended.
